Acer beats Dell in PC Competition. Dell that used to be in the second position as the biggest computer vendor in the world is now forced to be in the third position after defeated by Acer.The victory achieved by Acer in third quarter is in line with the growth of global PC shipping that increase 2.3% (78.1 million Units) compared to the previous year achievement.
IDC reported that Acer’s shipping increased to 25.6% (10.96 million units), while Dell is below this percentage. Indeed, Dell’s shipping declined as much as 8.45% or about 9.95 million units.
