The Whole Family Lie for A Reality Show!

During last week, US public has been presented with a series of reality show-like event, where the line between reality and fake reality seems to be blurred. The show was started on Thursday morning when a helium balloon that looked like a flying source was released by Heene family. Richard and Mayumi Heene are amateur storm hunters. This was the beginning of the whole family lie for a reality show contract.Thing was getting panic after Richard Heene reported to the police that their youngest son, Falcon (6), was in the flying balloon, as told by Falcon’s brothers age 10 and 8 years old.
Massive rescue operations were done, while the silver flying source had been flying as far as 80 km. The balloon boy was even followed by US National Security helicopters. The balloon was finally landed on a field near Denver.
This event was broadcasted as live and was watched by thousands of people. Once the balloon landed, the rescue team ran towards the balloon and found it empty. It made them more panic and checked the nearby villages, worried that Falcon fell off the balloon. But then, the family announced that the boy was saved, because he was only hiding in their garage after being yelled by his father.
The suspicion appeared when a CNN reporter asked Heene to ask his youngest son of why he kept hiding so long when many people had been calling his name. To the parent, the boy answered, “You said that, ehh, we did it for a show.”
On Friday morning, the Heene family attended some morning shows in TVs and denied that this incident was a fake. When Falcom was asked about it, this 6 years old boy was throwing up.
To Get A Contract of Reality Show
On Sunday, the Colorado sheriff said that the incident was faked to get a reality show contract in TV. Sherriff Larimer County, Jim Alderden, said that the whole family took part in the scenarios. Richard and Mayumi Heene are likely to be convicted for a conspiracy that involved under age kids and for a fake report.
According Alderden in a press conference, the couple met in a Hollywood acting class. “These people are actors..We were manipulated by this family and media was manipulated by this family too.”
This family was once presented in a TV reality show “Wife Swap” and apparently they wanted more by targeting a reality show contract and become famous.
The police now investigate Robert Thomas, Heene’s partner. Both of them had ever discussed about the idea of the show and the fake incident couple of months ago. Now, people are talking about this faking incident and media are in rush to report everything about the case.
Ted Mandell, a lecturer from Notre Dame University, said that, “ these days, everyone want instant ways. There is no research, there is no a well-planned strategy. What is most important is to be broadcasted. There is no perspective anymore.” It sounds to be what this is all about when a whole family lie for a reality show contract.
