The movie studios want to stop the actors and actresses from leaking the info of their newest movies in Twitter. Therefore, in the contracts that they sign, there is a prohibition to use Twitter.
Some of Top Hollywood movie stars like Cameron Diaz are prohibited from using mikro blogging Twitter, at least until their movie contracts are ended. The Hollywood big bosses consider that random postings in Twitter can destruct movie industry.The movie studios want to stop the actors and actresses from leaking the info of their newest movies in Twitter. Therefore, in the contracts that they sign, there is a prohibition to use Twitter.
This policy gives impact on beautiful actress, Cameron Diaz, and auction Powers actor, Mike Myers. They are both still tight under contract for the series of Dreamwork cartoon, Shrek.
Disney studio also prohibits their actors and actresses from using any social networking. Any movie information is not allowed to be published in Facebook, Twitter and such social sites.
“This is just a start. Hollywood has a very long history to control what must and can be said by their stars in media,” said a source from actors’ lawyer. The prohibition of Twitter use is applied after some Hollywood stars leaking random information in public. For example, the star of serial movie, Heroes, Greg Gunberg, who posted controversial tweet about Heroes.
Greg made the fans restless by posting a tweet indicating that heroes’ series will not likely be continued. But later, he clarified that Heroes season 4 will be produced.
