The newest report from the computer security bureau of Symantec picturing out that cyber crime has been attacking more fiercely than ever. In US alone, millions of computers are reported installed with hazardous fake software securities.

As quoted by heartListen.com from Reuters, such fake software securities are most likely redeemed by the victims with money. These software do not make their computers more secured, rather it gives wide open chances for cyber crimes attacks.

The Hackers more frequently set up traps in form of pop-up messages as if the users are in danger when accessing a site. These fake notifications will warn the users for the risk of getting virus and they will offer free or even paid securities software.

“The hackers will then able to take over the computer. They will retrieve your personal information, such as credit card, or other information that you have input in your computer,” said Vincent Weafer, the Vice Preident of Symantec.

Symantec has detected about 250 fake security software variants, some are with very convincing names, such as Antivirus 2010 or SpywareGuard 2008. These names make many people trapped and install the software without any doubt.

“In case how many potential people have fake software in their computers, the numbers can be significantly huge,” said Weafer.

To anticipate such thing, the computer users are expected for not installing any suspicious security software. If the software is needed, then the users can just purchase it from trust-worthy official sites or simply from the nearest computer stores.

So guys, be careful!!
