Mozilla Firefox browser is indeed competing with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Somehow, is there anything to do between this competition with the blocked Microsoft software by Firefox?

The loyal users of Firefox might experience having sudden messages stating that there are components being blocked by this Open Source Browser.

It can be guessed that the blocked component and the component that is suggested to be shut down are from Microsoft. Both are from Add-Ons from Microsoft, to be more precise are from Windows Presentation Foundation (blocked) and Net Framework Assistant 1.1 (suggested to be shut down).

Is the blocking related to the competition between Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer? Of course not, it is mentioned that the blocking is due to the reason of avoiding security threats from the weakness of those two components.

Since its latest version, Firefox has higher security alerts. One among them is intended on the checking of Adobe Flash version done by this browser when it is up-graded.

This step, according to Mike Shaver, The Vice President of Engineering from Mozilla, has been approved by Microsoft. “Microsoft agrees with this blocking plan and we will soon activate the blocking list,” said Shaver in his official site.

Lately, Shaver mentioned that .Net Framework Assistant turns out to not into the attacking. “We have pulled it out from the blocking list. The users will get the add-on activated again as soon as we spread out the new blocking list.”

How about you? what browser do you prefer?
