However, you might certainly be hesitating to do so when you swim in the largest swimming pool in the world.The biggest swimming pool in the world has been built in the South American resort known as San Alfonso del Mar. It is located in Chile and occupied 8 hectares area. The length of the pool is 1 km with 35 meters in depth and contains as much as 250,000 cubic meters of water. This size beat the previous world’s largest swimming pool in Casablanca, Morocco that sizes 150 x 100 meters. The artificial lagoon in Chile is now acknowledged by Guinness World records as the World’s largest swimming pool. This fabulous swimming pool is the brainchild of Fernando Fischmann, the founder of the Crystal Lagoons, biochemist and Chilean businessman. He created the whole concept, designs and construction methods of the giant swimming pool which is 6,000 times bigger than the standard domestic pools.
The Crystal Lagoons with its biggest swimming pool in the world has attracted so many international companies, especially from the Middle East, to adopt the advanced planning stages of concept, method and design of the pool. Fischmann said that the method can be implemented even in the inhospitable areas and the best thing is that the construct and maintenance costs are relatively low. After some talks with Nakheel and the Dubai Property Group, Fischman has agreed to reveal and outline the detailed technology at Cityscape. He said,” This advance provides something that until now was not technically possible – the generation of monumental masses of water in a crystalline state to provide a beach life environment and aquatic sports at the top level.”
