According to the researchers, the female flies picked their mates through their smeilling. They could smelt which male flies which could procreate healthier and more offsprings.
Love At The First Sight Influenced By Genetic Factor
The researchers found out that love at the first sight is closely related to a genetic factor. It is mentioned that women pick men through men’s body scents whose genetics are significantly different.According to the researchers, the female flies picked their mates through their smeilling. “We can call it as love at the first sight. It is not merely from the sight, but also from scents, voice and other sensations that can tell their biological mates are near by,” said Andrew Clark from Cornell University as quoted from Livescience.
The researchers found that chemical substances and particular proteins produced from the opposite sex when they meet one another really influenced the attractions appealed.
The researchers found the same result in the mammal species including human being. “The success of a woman to procreate is closely related to the quality of man’s genetic, especially man who has an opposite genetic with the woman,” said Clark
The researchers conducted certain test using the scent of men’s shirts to attract women. The result was that the women were more interested to the men with opposite genetics. The explanation behind this is not yet clear. However, the differences of immune systems and the chances to avoid disease can be the considered factors.
“We also found this fact on men who got attracted to women,” said Mariana Wolfner, a Developmental Biology Professor at Cornell.
To sum all of these is that women and men tend to pick their sexual mate based on different background and inherit.
