Very surprising news that the President of United States, Barack Obama awarded the Nobel Peace Prize as it is officially announced on Friday (9/10) in Oslo, Norway. Obama is considered deserve to be in the list because of his continuous effort to accommodate International diplomacies and peace, especially on his approach to the Islamic societies and on his effort to suppress the nuclear proliferations.“Obama as the President of United State has created a new International political climate. Multilateral diplomacies are now back in the central position by emphasizing on the roles of UN and other International Institutes,” said the jury of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Different from other Nobel Prize awards that are selected by the Swedish jury, the Nobel Peace award in particular is determined by the juries selected from the Norwegian Parliament.

The Nobel jury also gave a special appreciation to the Obama’s vision and mission in realizing the world without nuclear. “His way of diplomacies are based on the concept that whoever leads the world must be in accordance to the value and attitude possessed by most population in the world,” said the Nobel jury.
Obama is the third President of United States who is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize during their government period. Theodore Roosevelt was the first to receive the prize on 1906 and Woodrow Wilson on 1919.
