The Swine and Avian Influenza can generate new and probably a more dangerous virus!

swine and avian influenzaThe scientists are now in their worries to the possibility of the recombination between swine flu and avian influenza. This new virus is suspected to be more furious. Even though it is still an assumption in the medical world, a precautious attitude is desperately needed.

Sometimes ago, lots of poultries were found death and later it was found that the cause of the death was because of an avian influenza. This influenza is also known as A Influenza or H5N1 that is caused by type A Influenza virus.

Wild birds are the natural inhabitant for this kind of virus. That is why; this is called as an avian influenza. This deadly virus is spread all around the world and is very infectious. This disease is deadly, especially when it attacks tamed poultries, such as chicken.

When the world is still in shock because of the avian influenza, there is another virus attack caused by swine influenza. The swine influenza is a respiratory disease found in swines caused by A influenza virus (H1N1).

The swine influenza was actually not infecting human, but later in its development, the virus is now already affecting human beings. The worst thing is that the infectious can be from human to human. The first swine influenza detected on human was found in Mexico, in April 13th, 2009. This virus spreads very quickly to the whole world.

swine flu virus humanHuman being can be infected by swine flu, when they have direct contacts to the swine. For example, children who play near to the swine or pigs stalls are in a great danger to be infected. Human will even be easier to be infected when being around to the flu swine. Once they get infected, they can be potentially infecting other people too.

From human, the virus can be infecting through the nasal mucus, coughing, touching or even indirect contact, such as contaminated warehouse. The virus infection cannot be done through well-cooked pork. The virus can survive in 2 hours of time on the table cloth surface, door’s handle or table. Therefore, the more often you wash your hands the better to avoid the virus contamination.

Recombination of The Swine and Avian Influenza

World Health Organization (WHO) states 6 stages on the virus pandemic. Pandemic stage is determined based on the number of human affected by the virus

avian flu virusAt this moment, the avian influenza is categorized into stage 3. It means that the infection from human to human will not cause a plague. By saying so, the spreading of an avian influenza is from poultries to human. Therefore, the best way to prevent it is by avoiding direct contact to any poultry. Besides that, you must also be aware of the poultries’ dirt. When the avian flu is into stage 3, the swine flu is already into stage 6. It means that the pandemic has been spread all around the world.

These two types of flu come very close to one another. This condition arise an anxiety if the two viruses will do crossing and creating a more furious virus. However, it is still an anxiety in the medical world, but the doctors are already in their worries to the crossing possibilities between swine and avian flu.

swine flu virusThe doctors mentioned that swine can be like a mixing bowl, meaning that all kind of viruses that enter to its body will be potentially transformed into a new virus. It works the same for the avian flu if it infected the swine body. Until today, it is not yet known how the process of avian flu comes into the swine body. However, it is something for sure that the avian virus can infect the swine.

In the marriage process, both viruses will carry out their own characteristics, for example the avian flu has a deadly tendency that had caused hundreds of people died.

Quite different from the avian flu, the swine virus has a quick spreading characteristic, but it is not too deadly for human beings. It is not yet known for sure if the recombination of the swine and avian influenza virus will generate a more dangerous virus or the other way around, a not harmful virus at all. However, it is better if we keep being cautious and keeping our bodies healthy.

Avoid H1N1 Swine FluThe symptoms of both viruses are similar to ordinary flu. It is likely that the new virus resulted from the marriage between swine and avian flu will also have similar symptoms, such as increasing body’s temperature, coughing, breath difficulty, sore-throat and diarrhea, but it can also be different too.

Even though the recombination between these viruses of swine and avian influenza are not yet for sure, some pre-caution actions have been done by some hospitals, for example during the treatment, hospital will separate the avian flu patients from the swine flu patients.

Therefore, do not forget to keep the cleanliness of our houses and the surrounding areas.
