Nokia and Samsung Prepare the Counters for Apple

Apple has succeeded displacing Nokia as the most profitable cell phone manufacturer with their best seller iPhone edition. Not only to Nokia, but Apple also displaced Samsung as the second largest phone vendor in the world. Nokia and Samsung are now preparing their ultimate weapons to beat Apple.Nokia and Samsung altogether cover up to 60% of the world’s cell phone market. However, their success is being thread by the Apple’s handset as well as by RIM for the Smartphone segment.
According to the Strategy Analytic data, Apple which is considered as a new “player” in the cell phone industry has been able to displace Nokia in the quarter 3 2009. The Apple’s operational profit reaches US$1.6 billion, which is significantly higher than Nokia with USD$ 1.1 billion. Read more
